One of the most significant components of a digital transformation (DX) strategy in banking is the need for collaboration as critical between the customer and the institution as it is between the staff at the enterprise. This IDC white paper examines the role of unified communications (UC) in the overall strategy to transform the way financial institutions work to improve efficiencies, increase revenue, and further engage customers using unified communications environments to foster enterprisewide collaboration. In addition, cloud services, as part of IDC’s 3rd Platform architecture, will play a role in the provisioning of unified communications as a service (UCaaS) as a way to quickly transform collaboration in the industry while maintaining efficient operations. The document also looks at the role of RingCentral as a provider of UCaaS in this strategically important market.
