Google Cloud is set to host its annual Security Summit 2025 on August 19, with a sharp focus on how artificial intelligence is transforming both cyber defense and the threat landscape.
The free, online event will bring together industry leaders and security experts to showcase the latest advancements in AI-driven protection, strategies for mitigating AI-related risks, and best practices for securing AI innovations in the cloud.
Keynote speakers include Jon Ramsey, Vice President and General Manager of Google Cloud Security; Payal Chakravarty, Director of Product Management for Google Security Operations; and Naveed Makhani, Product Lead for Securing AI.
The trio will share insights on Google’s approach to empowering defenders with AI, managing emerging risks, and strengthening security operations for enterprises adopting AI technologies.
Attendees will gain a first-hand look at Google Cloud’s AI security agents for alert triage, investigation, and malware analysis in a session led by Vijay Ganti and Timothy Peacock.
This demonstration will cover building custom workflows, leveraging the SecOps Model Context Protocol for cross-product queries, and accessing new innovations through SecOps Labs.
The summit will also address the darker side of AI. In “Hype versus Reality: What You Should Know About Adversarial Misuse of AI”, Aurora Blum will analyze the practical applications, limitations, and real-world impact of generative AI in the hands of state-sponsored attackers.
On the enterprise front, Philippe Rivard will lead “Chrome Enterprise: Secure Browsing and Collaboration for Your Enterprise”, exploring how recent AI features in Chrome Enterprise and Google Workspace boost productivity while enabling IT teams to enforce robust security controls against generative AI risks.
The event will conclude with a session on incident response planning in the age of AI, featuring legal and crisis communications experts Dan Wire and Beth George, who will discuss how AI adoption reshapes breach response strategies and changes the overall risk profile for organizations.
With AI rapidly becoming both a defense multiplier and a new attack vector, Google Cloud’s Security Summit 2025 aims to equip enterprises with the tools, knowledge, and strategies needed to stay ahead in an evolving cybersecurity landscape.
