Salesforce Lets Users Add Functionality with Low-Code Features
Salesforce introduced two new low-code features for Lightning App Builder – it is a tool that allows customers to create custom pages within the app. The new features, Dynamic Forms and Dynamic Actions, are designed for users to build forms and pages that are event-based and can be changed in real-time.
The feature Dynamic Forms allows users to create a form with custom requirements easily. It permits the user to add sections and fields anywhere on the page. For instance, the job application forms can switch on the visibility functionality basis an employee’s role. Based on their interest area and role, company employees will be able to see the information of a certain candidate such as job history, references, legal status, etc.
On the other hand, Dynamic Actions guides users intuitively for the next steps. Taking the same example as of the hiring process, one can assign actions to people involved in the hiring process.
The low-code and no-code tools have been gaining popularity in recent years. The reason is probably little or no coding experience that it requires. Subsequently, with the shrinkage of IT teams during the COVID-19 pandemic, the interest in time-saving tools will grow faster than the expected rate.
Listing out the stats, Salesforce saw more than 3.25 billion processes automated this year, which is a surplus of 25% compared to the previous year.
